Participants will learn about fire theory, including the different classes of fires, equipment available to fight fires, how to use equipment correctly, and how to assess situations effectively. You will also gain extensive hands-on practical training and familiarisation in fire-fighting and smoke protection techniques and the use of fire-fighting and smoke protection equipment found on board most private, business and commercial aircraft. Crew roles and responsibilities and the importance of effective communication during fire-fighting will be demonstrated and discussed. A review of recent aviation fire and smoke incidents will be conducted.
Fire and smoke training is conducted in full motion cabin simulators, a state-of-the-art next generation Real Fire Fighting Trainer (RFFT) and Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS) simulator. This is ideal for fire-fighting and cabin smoke scenarios in a realistic environment. It is fully equipped to deliver comprehensive fire and smoke training, lithium-ion battery and other cabin fires.
The Gulfstream GV, G450/500/550/650 cabin smoke evacuation procedure will be demonstrated if required.
Training programs and equipment are GCAA approved and EASA and FAA compliant.
One day
All participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion and training record issued by Dynamic Advanced Training.
